Experiencing
problems running Solixa on
Windows Vista?
Windows Vista is funny with
how it handles runtime
files. If you are reading
this its likely that you are
one of the many users out
there experiencing problems
with the missing OCX files.
Solution:
Please follow the
instruction below to get
Solixa working on your vista
machine.
Step #1:
Click on your start button
and then go to run. In the
run dialog type "cmd"
without the "'s and then
press enter, this should
bring you to your DOS
Prompt.
Step #2:
When you launch Solixa you
will notice that its saying
that a file is missing when
in fact its not really
missing just not registered
properly. to fix this write
down the file name and then
enter these commands into
your DOS Prompt window.
Step #3:
Below are examples of common
files that aren't registered
properly simply replace the
.ocx file with the one that
is missing when you try to
launch solixa. Note: The capitalization of the filename is not important.
